The focus of the webinar is to provide participants with a better understanding of what life is like along the Missouri River south of Gavins Point Dam. The event, hosted by the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition, will begin at 2 p.m. (cst) Monday, March 23, 2020.
Please register at the link above. You will be emailed the connection information for the Zoom webinar meeting.
MSAC encourages Lewis and Clark Lake stakeholders and others to hear information about lower river interests including agriculture, navigation and utility sectors. In 2019, MSAC and the Coalition to Protect the Missouri River (CPMR) became members of each respective organization. The two groups aim to boost understanding of each entity’s concerns and to find common ground in supporting ways to better manage sediment trapped behind Gavins Point Dam.
Webinar participants will hear from Dan Engemann, CPMR’s Executive Director, based in Hermann, Missouri. CPMR represents the interests of flood control, navigation and utilities, and has members in six states.
We encourage others to join this conversation. We anticipate the event to be recorded and available on YouTube.
